Due to the impact the Coronavirus is having around the world – Securex West Africa has been postponed until Tuesday 30th June – Wednesday 1st July 2020. Therefore, the announcement of the 2020 Nigerian OSPAs will now take place at 1pm on Tuesday 30th June 2020 at the show. It is important that all finalists are in attendance and you can register here.

Here is the statement issued by the event organisers:
“Good afternoon, as organisers we would like to inform you that Securex West Africa 2020 and it’s co-located events including Firexpo and WACSS, scheduled to take place at The Landmark Centre, Lagos from 17 – 18 March will be postponed following the escalation of COVID-19 Coronavirus globally.
The effects of Coronavirus are becoming evident across the globe and after consulting advice from the World Health Organisation and the Nigerian Health Ministry, we have reluctantly made the decision to postpone the event to later in the year when we hope the effects will have subsided.
While the confirmed cases in Nigeria remain low, our community of international exhibitors who are not able to travel due to government directives or corporate regulations has climbed. This compounded with the rising uncertainty in Nigeria, we as organisers, feel a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all attendees and believe the right thing to do is postpone the event to ensure that this is not jeopardised.
We know the event is integral to the regional security, fire, and safety industry and as such have rescheduled the event to take place from Tuesday 30th June – Wednesday 1st July 2020, at the Landmark Centre, Lagos.
We hope you can appreciate the difficulty of our position, and that the change in dates hasn’t caused too much of an inconvenience. We’d love to welcome you to Securex West Africa later this year.
Your registration will remain valid for the new event dates, so you don’t need to do anything and we’ll continue to update you with news over the coming months.
