Today a partnership was formed between the OSPAs and Securex West Africa to bring the global awards scheme to Nigeria for the second year.
The OSPAs are currently running in 8 countries and are designed to recognise and reward outstanding performance across the security sector. Last year saw the introduction of the awards into Nigeria.
Commenting on the partnership founder of the OSPAs, Professor Martin Gill said “We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Securex West Africa to deliver the 2019 awards. And are confident our partnership will enable us to expand on the success of the inaugural event, bringing together outstanding performers in the security sector who deserve to be formally recognised.”
Nominations to the Nigerian OSPAs are now open until 7th January 2019. Entries will be invited in the following categories:
Outstanding In House Security Manager/Director
Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding)
Outstanding Security Training Initiative
Outstanding Security Equipment Manufacturer
Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator
Outstanding Female Security Professional
Lifetime Achievement
Securex West Africa is the only dedicated exhibition in the region encompassing fire and rescue, commercial, homeland and cyber security.
When asked for comment the Regional Director, George Pearson said “We are excited to be partnering with the OSPA’s for the 9th edition of Securex West Africa and believe the partnership will help to build on last year’s achievements. With a clear strategy in place, we are confident the collaboration will help to continue the growth of the platform as the region’s paramount networking event for the industry.”
Securex West Africa takes place 16-17th April 2019 in Lagos. Awards winners will be announced at a networking dinner to take place on the evening of the 16th April at the Landmark Centre.
